Volleyball NT are hosting a Level 2 Refereeing Accreditation Course. This course is being offered for free by Volleyball NT as part of our commitment to provide officiating pathways for our community and skills development. 

However, please note you must meet the following pre-requisites:

You may register for this event now, but you will need to have completed your Level 1 course before the Level 2 course commencement.

As part of the Level 2 accreditation process, you are required to attend four hours of face-to-face coursework.

You are asked to arrive at the Territory Netball Stadium at 8:30am for an 8:45am sharp commencement. We will be in the upstairs area (catch the lift in the main lobby). 

You will be given regular breaks during the course. Lunch will be provided.

Please bring:

  • A light jumper
  • Book and pen or laptop for note-taking

Please note: Your full attention during the course will be required. As such, we kindly ask you do not use your mobile phone during the course.

Should you need to use your phone, we ask that you briefly step out of the learning area.

OUTCOMES

Completion of this course, as well as confirmed completion of the other pre-requisites, will mean you qualify as a Volleyball Australia Level 2 Associate Referee

In order to become accredited as a Volleyball Australia Level 2 State Referee, you will need to complete 1 x practical assessment for 1st Referee, 2nd Referee and Scoresheet by a VA Level 3 Referee or attain a letter of Endorsement from a VA Level 3 Referee and your State Volleyball Association.

Please note Volleyball NT will develop mechanisms for Level 2 Associate Referees to undertake their practical assessments in the Northern Territory. Alternatively, you may also wish to seek assessment at events such as the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup, Australian Youth Championships or other Volleyball Australia events. This will be covered at the course. 

Becoming an accredited Level 2 State Referee means you can become a nominated referee national events such as Australian Youth Champships.
